Buy yourself a gun that the ammo fits and you're all set. Nice finds.

Those could be Henry rifle bullets --need to measure the Dia//

Need and accurate measurement of bullet diameter, overall length, and to see the base of the cartridge to see if it is rimfire. No doubt it is an older style cartridge. Cool find.

That's a really cool find.
I've been finding a bunch of old ammo lately myself.

Last year, I found a spill of thirty live .22 longs that looked like they where in the ground a long time.

Cool finds, looked like .22 shorts to me..

If those are .22 shorts, then that is a very small digging tool he has there.

My guess is Henry rifle bullets, but hard to tell withour seeing the bottom and without measurements.

Good point.

I will measure them and get some close ups tomorrow. An ID would be pretty cool. Thanks guys

From the angle of the picture, the bottoms look rounded. Hello Henry !

Hard to tell without dimensions or any case markings but if they are centerfire they appear to be .32 or .38 Smith and Wesson cartridges. These are still manufactured but case markings could help determine the age. Could also be .38 Short Colt but definitely not .44 Henry.
