Hello!
I dug this token last week in Portland Oregon. I didn't think much of it when I first dug it ~ I just threw it in with all the clad I dug that day, and forgot about it.
Yesterday I kinda re-discovered it ~ I tumbled it along with about 200 pre-1983 copper memorial cents. After the tumbling I notice that the token has a 6-sided star shape center ~ it's a bi-metallic token! I've never seen one like this before!
It's about 21 mm in diameter ~ one side reads, FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY ~ and the other side reads, THIS TOKEN HAS NO CASH OR TRADE VALUE.
What can you tell me about this token? When was it made ~ how old is it? Where was it used at? Any info would be great!
THANKS!
Neil
