Got out of work early today for a dentist appt. My dentist happens to be 5 minutes from a pretty heavily hunted park that dates back to the mid 1800's. I decided to give it a try for the first time. 91 cents gas rebate came on the walk across the park. Got to the end where my uncle Jeff told me I might not find much, but if I would, it would be old. He was right. First target in the heavy trees I unearthed the large chunk of metal you see.......except that wasn't what gave me the signal, it was the wheat 3 inches below it that called to me from the etrac, simply amazing, 1940 Wheat. Spent about a half hour passing over a ton of junk signals and dug a 1993 rabies tag when suddenly a storm moved in, thunder rolled, lightning cracked and the etrac screamed all at the same time. I unearthed an 8inch deep very worn 1907 Barber quarter and got out of dodge! Just made it the 500yds to the truck when the skies opened back up, whew...........can't wait to go back, but we really need a day without rain first ;D

Awsome on the Quarter !

& Yes I Have Hammerd the End with my Sovereign.

Guess I Should have took my SE down there.
of course you still have to swing over it :D

Congrats

Thanks Jeff!

There was no doubt when I hit it that I had silver under the coil! It was between two trees, I had to run the coil in front of me, front to back not side to side to make a swing. Same type of scenario as the barber dime last week. I'm getting better at finding those tight spots that others skip and making them work for me!
