Hey folks, i just got done finishing a strange nickel box... a sealed garda box with 6 CWR and a mix of different style MWR wrappers... a skunk...
the 6 CWR gave me a few pre 1960, nothing special. no rolls were shorted, 1 roll had 42 nickels in it.

the MWR's were different though, not only skunky, but wrapped inbetween the rolls were pennies... in all, 28 pennies, one roll had 9 pennies in it which all took place of a nickel, but i also had 2 dimes mixed in... weird, huh?

anybody else have this happen with a sealed box?
note: this style box requires you to open the box a certain way where you can't close it back up...

This is why my subject to count bag deposits are always off. The other day I got dimes in my nickels and $1 presidential dollars in my halves. But just 2-3

hmm, presidential dollars in a half dollar roll? interesting, i've been doing halves for 3 years and have never gotten a presidential dollar in a half dollar roll. never had a short half dollar roll either, knock on wood.

I've seen everything but gold in my rolls. I've had one and two whole rolls of halves missing from a box a few times, I once had a roll that was missing 12 or 14 halves in a roll of 20. Guitar picks, pieces of $20 bills, hair, foreign coins, pieces of coin wrappers, fluorescent paint dust, carb cleaner, motor oil, you name it.

I have gotten 2 Susan B antwons in 1 roll

I have several SBAs and presidentials from half rolls. Sometimes the machine goes haywire it seems.

if only the machine made this mistake more often!!

I had a sealed halves box once contain 8 or so CWR, in addition to the MWR. I thought it was going to be a total skunk, until I found a 40% in the CWR. Found a couple more in the MWR too. Turns out the courier just dropped the box in the vault when he was delivering it, and several rolls broke and they had to reroll them right there. Unfortunately, I had already dumped the coins when I went back to pick up my next round from that bank, and when I asked about i the guy told me about how they had dropped, and also added "yeah we saw a big penny in there, we thought you would like that." I'm assuming it was one of the british large pennies from the early 20th century, since they're the same size as halves. Since I side search I missed it! oh well

Gotten Dimes and Pennies in rolls of nickels.. Gotten dimes in roll of cents, Quarters in rolls of halves, and so on.
