Okay, it's just 10k but it could have been 24k!
The last few days have not been very fruitful. I must admit, maybe my attitude has not been quite as good as attitudes should be.
Metal Detecting is not the easiest of hobbies for sure; we've all been there. Did I mention tomorrow will be better? The weather, although we need the rain in Southern Colorado has hampered my efforts to a degree. Plus, I'm running out of places to hunt. There's something about knocking on complete stranger's doors that I find awkward. I've had success now mind you but I can't seem to relax knowing those stranger eyes are watching! And, I need to relax to enjoy this hobby and, find the goodie deep stuff! Lol!
Anyway, here are my best three finds so far this week; the dime is only for scale. I found the ring yesterday useing my Minelab FBS800 coil. It's a fine little coil. I think I was extremely lucky for I first dug a pulltab tongue located above the ring. I always recheck the hole; rewarded with the little gold ring down 6 inches or so. I thought it extremely old at first google and hopefully 18-24k! But, 10k proved otherwise. The ring's shank is broke; showing signs of a previous repair. Did the previous owner toss it after it broke again? I do wonder. The two earrings were found within a block of the ring on private property! I'm unsure if they are silver although they registered as such. Who would have thought I would find the pair? It makes me think they were purposely discarded on the side of a house; buried by the base of a chimney. Kids, who can figure them out? Two possible throw-a-ways in one day is fine by me nonetheless!
Thank you for meandering!
