Went out today with one of my friends. He's pretty new to artifact hunting so he only ended up with a nice scraper.

I found the unfluted Folsom base about 10' away from the small Midland base.

I like that side notch point ... guess that site was definitely multigenerational
That was the first thing I found. I figured after that point everything else was just bonus material.
 

It's amazing what the sun will do to different materials over time, great finds.
Thanks monster! The patina actually comes from minerals in the soil. Some areas I hunt will produce nothing with patina where as other areas produce finds that are heavily patinated.
