I went back to the old town site where I found the railroad key today. I didn't find much, except this neat key, the old coin is caked from dirt that there was a fire I think. The farmer came over and asked if I had found anything, as we where talking he mentioned to me about on the other side of the river where other relics have been found. This is just grass, who who's what might be there. HH

Never had a whole "town" as a site before, sounds like a great place.

Good luck on the other side.

What the farmers son said was that there was a barrel spigot found on the the other side. There may have been a tavern. He said that there was a bridge at that location? I will be going back soon, but today the snow was flying alittle, but not enough to keep me away. NT

Rick it sounds like you have some old history down your way. There where several Empire Loyalists that settled around this area. I have lots of reading material on their locations, and date settled. I work alot these days, so my time is limited. I have acouple old towns that I can detect, it never gets boring. HH
