Went back this morning to the sports field I started yesterday and got another section done. Like I said before, I'm getting the part that I expect the least from done first to get it out of the way. Right off the bat I found a small ring about 4" deep, then it seemed like targets got less the further into the field I went. On my last trip across the field I found a massive neat looking ring. I didn't think either one of them was silver because the first one was so tarnished, and the big one seems to have been painted black originally. After getting to the house and washing them off, they are both stamped .925. Yea, 2 more silver rings. The biggest surprise was that todays totals in clad are allmost a repeat of yesterday, and I was thinking I didn't find near as much today. I also found a lion thinggy. It's not a button, and it's not a pin. It has 2 small studs on the back that I guess pop into something. Now I've got one more section to go before I start the good part of the field.

Very nice, you'd think no one has ever huntd those fields before the way you pull so much out. Congrats to you.

I really think what it really is, is that most people just sort of wonder around hoping to find something and don't do a thourgh search. I'm off in my own little world when I do one of these fields.

Are they gonna build on these fields?I always see your map planned out and was curious,I also like reading your posts very productive area your in.

Nice finds by the way

No, they are not going to build on these places. They are parks, school soccer fields, and neighborhood sports fields. Glad you enjoy the post and good luck to ya.

Nice rings PM!! Congrats and keep your good streak going. Good luck.
I really enjoy your posts, thanks for sharing!

Smiles!

Really nice looking rings, that one in the center is very unique looking. I too enjoy reading your posts you are very dedicated to the hobby. The methodology you employ in your searching is so meticulous. I guess I am more of a waunderer, dont really hunt in any particular pattern but I always figure I can go back to a spot and find more stuff, you like to really clean the area out,HH...Shoot

Hey Piggperson, you are living up to your reputation! Congrats on more silver rings. That one in the center is a weird looking sucker. I may have to revise my estimate of 12 (was it 12 I said?) upwards, you are already 1/3 of the way there and haven't hit the best part of the field! Go Piggman, go Piggman! ;D

After this field maybe you could gather up all those rings into a pile and post the photo.

Polish them first and set it on black velvet!

Great job so far! Keep it up!

Congratulations!

Congrats on the 2 silver rings, you will need to buff those up with some Tripoli and some rouge. ;D

Man piggy those rings are really cool. Are any of them alike?
Intresting that most rings found around soccer fields are silver huh.
The three silver rings I found were at schools on the sidelines of soccer fields...

Keep diggin buddy...

No two are the same, but some are pretty close. It is funny how most are silver at these places. I have found one 14K with Opals (another post), one silver with a 14K rope center, 14K chain bracelet (doesn't count as ring), and that 22+k gold cross (doesn't count either). Everything else seems to be silver when it comes to the rings. I've wondered why that is myself.

You really do well with the sports fields!!! Theres lots around my area so when I get better with my MD Ill hit them. Congrats on this field and the other one.

Why do you wait to do the 'good' part of the field last? I'd be 'bout to die to get there! :D Beautiful collection! 8) Congrats on all those finds!

Nana :)
