Another SoCal Mine Hunt

Went back to spot I've hunted many times. No coins, but enough decent sounding targets to make me think there's still a chance for good finds there.

An old cistern situated high on a hilltop above the mines:

A vertical shaft agled to follow the quartz vein. Hard to tell in the pic, but it's 50-60 feet to the bottom ledge:

Lots of wildflowers in bloom right now:

My brother and mother just moved down here and I gave my brother my Nokta Simplex to learn with. I'm hoping he finds something good soon. It's okay if I don't find much because I don't get discouraged, but it's hard when you first start out detecting.
