After work this evening , I headed back out to the swamps to look for shells and cannonballs. I hunted about 2 hours. In the first 15 mins , i found a cannonball fragment. 10 mins later I found a big piece of a cannonball...based on the partial circumfrence , It looks like it may have been a 12 pound boreman. Another hour or so of hunting yielded 2 more frags and some iron junk. It's just a matter of time til i find another intact shell.

Thanx for looking and HH y'all

Keep it up there is a whole shell in there. I read somewhere and looked for it but cant findit now. But it was like one out of 40 shells fired where duds and less for paper fuse shells.

Nice digs!!! Heck... I'd be happy with a fragment, grape, dropped, pulled, chewed mini ball... Button, box plate, buckle, knap sack hook... Anything CW related. ;D

One day I'll dig some...
