Hi,
I hope its warm and the ground is thawed wherever you are! Friday it took me almost three hours to chip 11 coins and a silver ring out of the ice. Saturday was not much better as I chipped out 23 coins and an unusual boy scout tie clasp with several boy scout depictions upon it. Sunday I headed south to where the gound is not frozen. No silver round this time but I found 263 coins and my fourth silver ring of the year. This included 89 quarters and 98 dimes. The change is out there for us to find......Kane23

Great workout Kane, is that a personal record? I NEVER dug that many in one day! Good gas $$ to get you back north and a ring too..WTG

Where do you go to find so many coins (of any kind)? I found a nickle 1946 no mint mark and 3 pennies, 1962-D, 1963-D and 1993 and it took me @2 hours (ok, I'm slow and have a ton of metal debris collection! lol).

Yesterday afternoon it was -2 F. with a strong wind blowing, so I of course went ice fishing on the little lake I live on. Ice was 9.5" thick. Everyone else stayed home, including the fish.

Yes, digging that many coins makes you very tired,I also came home with a large blister in my foot.No this is not a personal best, not even close. Last month I found 324 coins in one day( See;Silver round on top of the ground) I had a day in the year 2000 that I found 546 coins and three or four other days where I found over 400 in one day.
Thanks for the compliments and inspiration, Kane 23
