Picked up this nice antique nautical pulley from our take it- leave it shed at our dump ( transfer station). It has some age to it and a small brass anchor emblem on one side. Last week I scored the antique Royal type writer. The top part is stuck but these usually sell pretty good as it has the green round letters with metal frames that people use for different things. I like the looks of the pulley. Cool find and free is the best kind of price

Nice save! I found a double pulley yesterday. Someone stole it from my pile at an estate sale though. Didn't notice till they were already gone with it. I'm still mad and I think I know who it was. People around here are pigs I tell ya.

That is Awesome. This being Nautical I assume every thing is brass? Worth at least 60 bucks Id think.

I think so. Some of it has that slight green patina. I was thinking of about the same as far as value. $40-60. I think it might be a keeper though.

Nice finds!

Many years ago, I used a Royal typewriter...thanks for sharing!

Correct term would be "block and tackle".

I've found a few of those, they're great ebay sleepers, definitely good for $40-60. Make sure to look at others that have sold for listing keywords, a lot of people are searching for "Rustic" and the like. A lot of old hardware like that is surprisingly valuable. Metal flywheels, pulleys, interesting looking parts, rusty saw blades, even old ropes and chains. People use it as yard art, decor, sculpture, etc. Great finds!
