Antique Tool Trunk?

Going to an auction tomorrow morning. The pics below show an item up for bid. Any idea what they might be? The side of the cases have me puzzled.

Whats inside? Do the pulleys turn? They almost look like pulleys that use a leather belt.

My guess is .....a set of military field radios

It looks like those handles fold out , so you can crank a magneto .

The inside of the pulleys look as if there is a round panel or door that opens with the handles. Does the inside of the box appear to have a false bottom?

Yep. Looks like dynamos for old radios. Tony
