Could you go in and get it tested at one of those places that buys gold and silver?

Now you find your way into many things, getting your self a little test kts may be a good idea. I got mine for like 140 Euro, and saw the same exact ones online in the US for like 50 bucks, just could not ship overseas.

I got a cheapo for like $12 on Amazon. it tests four grades of gold, one silver and platinum. Fun too.

As far as I know, magnets (none of them) stick to silver.

Could it be silver plated with some type of iron core?
