I found this several years back, and it just seems too perfect of a triangular stone. It looks like the 3d triangles in a geometry book. Any input will be greatly appreciated! Even from the reaper ( he don't sugar coat anything)

Artifact. Looks like a boundary or distance marker. Could be a trail marker? Too perfect.

I don't see anything that would make me think it was altered by man, so I say it's a natural stone and not an artifact.

Ditto.

A boundary stone is normally found and used for the purpose, not worked in the field, unless a cross is chiseled in it.

Just a guess but if that was ever anything but just a rock I would say possibly part of a round stone structure like atop a well. ( I don't suguar coat either by the way)

I know where a stone is that is still legible. Rock, that is flat on one side Elizabeth Dixon was her name , and she was born in the 1700's death date is hard to read. It stands alone on the middle of the woods.

That might be a good place to look for an old structure or a burnpile. If you ever hunt for old bottles or metal detect for coins and things. They usually didn't burry too far from the house back then

It is on an old copper mine. I metal detect some there, but the ground is so mineral rich. My old compass (1990 probably) beeps and the needle goes crazy too the point that I give up. Had some luck with a slush pan though!!
