I got these at an estate sale today. I was told they are from Egypt but I'm almost certain they are not Egyptian but other than that I'm at a loss, they seem old and pretty awesome so worth the $50 I paid at least but other than that I'm just not sure! Any clues would be greatly appreciated!

I noticed this was your very first post Amyjean - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Welcome to Tnet. The small head and the figure have a South American look. The big face does not. Are they pieces of something larger or are they individual pieces?

Thanks for the tips! I'll update my profile! And they are individual pieces, just in a box with some pottery fragments and pieces of other carvings.

The top head looks very Aztec to me. Right hand is probably south American, Aztec? and the large one on the left ----- ??????? I'm not an expert, but I've been told these figures are kind of common in Mexico, because the Aztec farmers would appease the gods, by placing different small carvings in the soil every year, to protect their crops.

Thanks for the catch I did not see that My guess is these are Asian/ Filipino in nature, but determining the age would be way above my pay grade, but by looking at the images they look to good to be true, so there fore, they are not true. unless verified. This is a big tourist trap kinda thing they do. Sell them to unwary tourists as originals They will never see those people again, so who cares. They look very real.
