Looks like the handle to a screw driver set they used to make. The different tips fit (screwed) into the handle. Cladius.

It appears to be a very old automobile valvestem cover. I would guess the teens.

daninmay - i'll go along with it being a valve stem cover - i once had several of them that looked like yours but were in better shape. then again they were probably made when i was a teenager. wayne

That appears to be the "Big Foot" ceremonial drinking vessel . Mrs.Big Foot must be very angry over its loss.

Haven't been around lately to check your responses. Looks like valve stem cover gets it! 40 guys at my club meeting last month couldn't get it right--but you did----Thanks

valve stem covers get my vote too! I've found 100s of them. I live in an area where there are a lot of small stamping companies, etc. that manufacture car parts, and I have dug these by the dozens from places that are/have been shut down or no longer exist on the properties.
