I found this rock that responds to a pendulum baited with gold and silver but gets no reaction to metal detectors. It seems very heavy for it's size. Just over 15 pounds. When I checked it with Google lens it brought up meteorites. It doesn't look like a meteorite to me. Can meteorites be brown? Or square? Any ideas on what it is? Or is it just a rock?

It's 6" inches by 6 1/2 inches and 4 inches deep.

Never have seen a meteorite in a rectangular or flat square shape. Stones altered by man can be that way or sometimes natural.

Here are a few quick questions that make rock ID possible:
🔍 Helpful details
• Color: Is it one solid color or mixed?
• Texture: Smooth, rough, glassy, sandy, layered?
• Weight: Does it feel unusually heavy for its size?
• Grain: Can you see crystals or grains?
• Shape: Natural chunk, rounded river stone, or cut/processed?
• Location found: Yard, river, construction site, field?
🪨 Common possibilities for a rock that size
Just to give you a sense of what’s typical:

Bottom line of attachment clip says "Cut stove/Paver" clue is uniform size, shape, thickness.

Where I live years ago, knew a mason who would get field stones to cut and use. Old homesteads used them often for the fireplace.

Since it dowses, its a rock, carrying a Gold or Silver frequency, or Master key..
Dowsing is the indication of the presence of a pattern, which is a frequency, that can be one, or multiple.
Way below what a Metal detector can detect..

YOu might check using a different Element, like Nickel or Iron. If it dowses with other elements, it's carrying a Master key frequency/pattern, not an Element frequency pattern.
Master key Frequencies are stronger than Elemental ones, my guess it's a Master. Harmful!
Keep it on Styrofoam, or remove it from your residence, is my suggestion.

I cant test what you say about gold and silver because the stone was moved,
actually it dont lays where the picture was taked.
If you put a recent picture i can tell you how much gold kilos have or silver.

Try dowsing with mercury witness,
if you get a good hit means is from a mine worked mineral.

I didn't get a photo of this particular rock but I did others nearby.
