Well, I'm not expecting to find a buried pirate's bounty all though I've heard it was a stopping point for a few pirates so I think I will try my luck with a day metal detecting the local beach. in AvaloView attachment 130636

Is that allowed? They have a lot of rules on Catalina and they are strict about following them. No cars, you ride bikes or use golf carts to get around. Leave the buffalos alone and so on. Better check to be sure...
