Between these rain storms that keep blowing through the bay area it was nice to get out and swing the coil! It started out as a gorgeous day with the temperature in the 60's with sunny blue skies, then it changed around 3pm when the fog and cold wind blew in.
I returned to the elementary school baseball field I've been hunting in the last 4 weeks. On previous trips I dug out 4 silver dimes from the front of the school at good depths of 6 and 7 inches. The back of the school where the baseball field is I'm finding silver coins and much shallower depths. Silver dimes in the gopher infested baseball field have all been about 2 inches deep. Today I dug out two more silver coins, a 1944 silver nickel and a 1950 rosie! So far I've dug out 8 silver coins from this school with a lot more ground left to cover!
