Just wondering how many people closer to my age are out there treasure hunting as a hobby. 18 years old here, trying to get out with my detector as much as college permits. haha, add me as a friend, would love to get to know some avid hunters close to my age!

yeah, it's ashame there isn't more though. Detecting is such a good time and so interesting. Most people don't know what they are missing out on.

Yeah, even when I was a little kid 5-12 or so I thought about detecting, but never pursued actually doing it! I didn't start until I was 32. Imagine the collection of goodies you'll have found before you even turn 40 , if you keep at it! You need to join a club or something and meet some detecting bro's that way. There's a lot the old folks can teach even if you can't find anybody your age.

When I was 18, I thought everyone over 30 was old and outdated... now I think everyone under 30 is to young to know better! HA!
Combine your friends with both young and old. That way you'll be around new ideas and experience.. a combination that's hard to beat!

im glad you enjoy our hobby, my 7 yr son is picking it up also----its cool--like when we go fishing and he catches one all the guys stop doing what their doing to watch him reel in a trout---digging the same way its awesome to watch a youngster get excited over a find----good luck on your digging--------ps , im 53
