I've been looking for several weeks now for double dies, broadstrikes, cuds, off center coins and clips. No luck at all. Anybody finding any? Or is it just me?
With both MD'ing and CRH'ing, I'm either red hot or cold as Wisconsin in January! One year and 2 months ago I didn't have ANY coins. Now I have quite a few. Will be finishing up an Indian Penny collection by March. Also got a complete set of Canadian large cents and complete set of small center, and dug my first and only gold coin in 2013.
Took the refuse coins back and dumped them. Got $100 in dimes and pulled a 59D out of it, at least vf condition. Looks almost uncirculated. The pennies are for tonight and tomorrow. I got a full box this time.
Got $100 in dimes today and a box of pennies. Pulled one nice silver Rosie out of it and halfway thru the pennies have one 2000 WAM, six wheats and one 1994 with partially filled "9". This week is working out much better than last week.
Three copper Canadians
Seventeen wheats - 1940's and 50's
1995 error - grease filling the "5" is missing
1983 small cud in the "9" and a die crack/lamination under the word "we"
1984 w severe die crack on reverse
2000 WAM
1995 with severe struck thru (grease) you can barely see the outline of Lincoln and a ghost image of 1995
1993-D Lincoln with NO copper plating. It is way underweight also. Really odd.
Here you go. Had to make an "emergency" visit to the best coin dealer around today to purchase an 1877 Indian Penny. He said this 1993 penny was genuine and the mint occasionally screws up. It is truly grey and underweight. He had one in his case for sale, different date though.
Nice find with the steel. Only found three of those. I also love pulling out the ones with the san Francisco mint mark. Have you thought about pulling out the Canadians or 2009's? Still, you're results are well above average.
