Anyone near Placerville?

Anyone in the Placerville area looking for someone to go out detecting with? I am looking to get back into it. I would love to find someone with a bit of experience to maybe show me how to research different sites. I know with all this BLM land out here there has got to be so good places to go swing the sticks. If your new thats cool to, we can go learn the ropes together. Hit me up if you are interested.

Check out https://goldcountrytreasureseekers.shutterfly.com they meet the third Monday of each month in Placerville. Many outings and a good group of people interested in Metal Detecting.

FYI
There is a 1940's ford buried in a creek bed at magnolia ranch.. thought I found a metal box full of treasure.. turned out to be spare tire cover from back of car, maybe 300 yds down stream, these BLM lands have an awful lot of junk, Tuning out Iron etc then the detector goes silent... also my detector is not specifically for gold so the gold readings I get are in the iron range 10-40.. maybe one day, just maybe.. the one in a million find..
