I am looking at a package deal on a F2 which includes.......F2 Metal Detector Store Special Package W8" Search Coil PLus Free 4" Coil, Pinpointer, Headphones, Treasure Pouch, Treasure Trowel

Wondering if the 4" coil is even used or am I better off finding a different deal. The only thing I can see using is maybe the headphones and the Pinpointer if the 4" is too small for real world use.

My son has a 4" coil and it is pretty awesum to pinpoint with, i have a little trouble pinpointing with an 8" but i am getting better at it. My next detector i get i will be sure to get a 4".

The 4 inch coil is the best extra coil you could own as it is easy to get only one target under the coil at a time.

I have a 4" Coil for my Tesoro and use it a lot great at pinpointing... not sure the package deals are always the way to go so might watch yourself on those.

The best yard I ever hunted was nearly 20 years ago. Coins beyond belief. I beat it to death every chance I got. When I finally called it quits the numbers were unreal including Indian Heads, Large Cents (my first), CW relics, jewelry and silver. I got a small coil on a friends advice and it dawned on me to try it in the trashy parts of the yard. It was like the coins had grown back. A small coil is like magic in the trash. Most of the time the standard coil is better but in heavy trash the small coils rule.
