AP's Awesome Day!!!

Went on a lil roadtrip today with Kent, the gentleman who lives next to the soccer field Ive been detecting fer a month or so. He took me to a small town called Blackfoot, hit a couple parks & we had a great day! I doubt many people have been hunting these parks cause we cleaned up on the clad! Kent is an older gent, railroad retiree, and he is one hell of a good detectorist, he got as much or more clad as I did & he just kept chuggin along long after I was wore down & ready to give up! I got 16 quarters, 22 dimes, 2 nickels (??) 47 pennies, 1 Shakies Pizza token, a pewter chess pawn, a dime flattened into a token & 2 rings (the gold ring & the sterling CTR ring). The other two cheapy rings I found last night with LQ & thought Id toss em in the pic. I found the Bully Dog plate in the grass, its a metal decal. The sterling ring is a Mormon CTR ring, Kent has found 28 of them over the years! The gold one appears to be stamped & plated but is sweet lookin.............LQ has laid claim to it.

My new machine is smokin' hot & is a quarter/dime slayer and now Ive found 4 rings in two trips with it, realy am quite happy with it. Kent.........if you read this I want to thank you for a great trip & I know we will do it again before we're buried in snow!

CTR rings as I understand, are given to or purchased by teenagers when they go on their 2 year missions. I have a Mormon friend who recently told me what CTR stands for but I cant remember, if anybody knows please post.

Id like to see a big meaty diamond too! Booby, I told you Ive had problems detecting the sand & chips with my other machines, just cant get them to work right. The Compass seems to do very well for me in the tot-lots, I turn the sens down a little & have found several bucks in two trys. Saturday I got one of the cheapy rings, a 44' wheatie & dug 3 quarters, 2 dimes & a few pennies right at the base of a slide in the chips! I mean they were less than a foot away from the metal legs & I was pinpointing em. Realy got me pumped up cause I usualy let the girlfriend detect the chips or sand while I stay in the grass.............no more of that crap! lol Just opened a new door, more possibilities. I guess as long as there is no snow I can hit all the sandpits this winter, eh?

CTR: Choose The Right, Choose The Righteous. Or, Choose The Rich if your jack morman.

I've had lots of good LDS friends through the years. Everyone of them has/had atleast one CTR ring. Most are cheaper metal but some are higher quality, ie silver.

And the George Payne designed machine just keeps on truckin! As I have said before AP, "I knew you'd like that Compass CS pro". Those were some great finds. And you'll just keep getting better the more you use it. By the way have you used the notch yet? It is powerful in high trash areas.

Hey thanks Duggr, I cant tell you how happy I am with this thing! I will be in contact with you very soon about the GB mod, I am definitely going to do that! I may even buy your other machine if nobody beats me to it...............
