As promised, Dream Bag of Cents Results with Pics!

My daughter and I just finished going through our bag of cents saved for us by one of our favorite tellers. She told us it had quite a few Wheat Cents. She was right!!! Up til this point our best bag had produced 20 Wheats. We blew that record out of the water with 104 Wheats! Also, this bag had a higher than usual copper percentage as well with almost 40% copper! Also found a Zincoln with no copper plating at all. Doubt it's an error as it would be easy to get the copper plating off I guess. Still looks pretty cool.

Wow what a bag! I had a $25 box of pennies back in Februrary that produced 32 wheats... probrably considered a dream box of pennies?

why keep wheats? for the copper contents? i had an entire roll of them come through at the grocery store last week (im cashier)
knew i shouldve grabbed em, but i gave em to an old lady who's son collects coins too, so i dont feel too bad

i do keep an eye (and an ear) out for silver though
