Assorted Colonial Relics

[romeo-1]

LIke Iron Patch alluded to in his post...the lack of finds were not due to lack of effort. I am quite happy with what I was able to recover...a lot of colonial era relics such as the spigot tap piece, musket trigger guard, buckle, and the small rosette. The coins are a worn provincial large cent, an 1855 Self Government token, an early 1800s' British penny and a silver 1942 quarter. The quarter was another heart breaker because it was in an early french area and I was hoping for old silver...oh well.

The colonial buckle is the best one I have ever dug. Almost completely intact. Thanks for looking.

Excellent finds!!

I found the same brass cylinder in a Colonial spot here in January...it has little grooves up and down it like yours--and appears to be the same size. Is that what you refer to as the "spigot tap piece"?
