But it's not. I was cleaning my house and came across this. No one in my family seems to know where it came from. IMG_2283 (640x480).webpIMG_2286 (640x480).webpIMG_2287 (640x480).webpIMG_2288 (640x480).webpA magnet will not stick to it. Any ideas.

That is a nice chunk of 925 sterling silver there. My guess is a key chain.

I doubt it's silver, but I think its a keychain also. The square piece looks like it slides down to reveal an opening in the loop to add a key. I personally have never seen a key chain with that type of design before but that's all I can thing this could be. The loop part eliminates it as a ceiling fan pull, lamp pull or a shade pull. Curious to if anyone can find a keychain design like this.

Looks a little like the later Mexican silver mark, but not seeing the word Mex. or Mexico on it. I think it looks like silver.

Here is a nefarious and weird option...a cocaine sniffer. That conch shell just looks like it would fulfill the job. (Note- I do not condone, nor advocate, sniffing anything out of your key fob.) Sub 8-)

Just click on the picture 925 mexico written backwards on the bottom, = silver sniffer that looks like a shell. "Who's this belong to?" reply "Ain't mine chimes the crowd", as one looks a little nervous that their little silver play toy has been found.

That's what I was thinking when I said scoop, I didn't want to come right out and say it. Tony

Oh heck. I hate to disappoint you about it being a cocaine sniffer. I looked at it more closely and I could squeeze the "keeper" on it, it slide down and opened the loop up. So it must be a key ring. Thanks you all.

Nice hunk of silver.....we actually have a Queen Conch shell around here somewhere when we made conch salad many year ago.

They're a semi protected species now with limited harvests.

It IS a Taxco piece IMO...

here is one that has the same "M.O"...
With different "charm".

Taxco makes it worth "more". Taxco is collectable.

here is another one...
Not a Taxco.

I think yours may be Taxco... but gotta read that middle line.
The Middle line will I.D. the maker etc.

Anyway.. here is another similar on...
Personally I think yours is older... better... and worth way more than what they are asking on this one...

Heck Ill give ya 40 :P :) j/k.
