Max, what is the inside diameter of the straight shaft, .065?, why not get one that is just a hair larger for the inside diameter?

trerasure-hunter

here is the scoop.

it is the old shaft i had on my excalibur for few years. it was easier for me just to sand down the garrett low rod.........knowing me i may not like it and go back to the S rod assy., but i doubt it.

i am hoping Anderson will come out with a new shaft for the At Pro soooooon.......i know they have been designing.

i like the rig jim has, but i had already started this mod. so i just went with it.

How heavy is the AT Pro, doesn't appear to be heavy. The balance would probably be better with the control box behind the elbow but unless you set it and forget it, that wouldn't be a good idea. That straight shaft is probably still better than the orginal shaft. HH

texasdigger1

cable is tooo short to move under arm

it does not balance very well with the straight shaft at all............i am changing back to the stock S rod in the morning.

i do not know what it actually weights, but when u have been hunting for over 15 years with just a shaft with coil, it is heavy.

i did have a spell using expII and SePro on stock shaft.........heavy toooo.

So much for all that work...I hear you like Garretts S Shaft that came stock on the AT Pro now.

Geez, its only 3.03 lbs....

Good work anyway...
