At what point do you stop digging?

bbcamay,

If you've got a bit of paranoia in your psyche.....you've come to the right place....just check out some of the posts in the everything else forum......every time I visit and post I've got to change my meds.......lol.

I'll see if I can find an appropriate tune for this.....I'll check my playlist and get back to you.

jeff,

Great now I've got both you and bbcamay who are somewhat paranoid.....mind you in a nice sort of way mind you... lol...

Where's my buddy Crispin when I need him.

Regards + HH

Bill,
careful is key online. Don't believe pics, or too many subtle hints.
Sometimes bananas are real.....

I dug a squashed galvanized pail about two feet deep in a rock pile in the woods once. It took me a while to get to it but it sounded better and better as I went. I thought for sure it was going to be a buried cache.

Ugh!! The avatar is real!! Sheesh! And I an NOT a damsel in distress.

Same with me. If they want to drag me into the woods and have their way it ain't gonna be easy......

Just remember, what ever you do, don't dig past the dreaded Point of No Return.

Sometimes a soft drink can will read not as deep as it really is. If I get a good signal with my pinpointer everywhere in the hole, I quite digging at about 6 inches and figure it's an alumium can. Sometimes an alumium can that is 8 inches deep, will read 4 inches and a quarter. Just don't spend a lot of time digging, on minute for me then I move on.

Stop digging when the hole gets so deep you're not sure which way is out.

If you are really intent on digging deep targets, be sure to bring a couple days food and water. HD Happy Digging!
