Attitude of gratitude in Virginia

Two and a half years ago I moved from Florida to Virginia bringing my AT Pro with me. After about 6 months house renovating I found time to metal detect a nearby schoolyard. I found some clad and to my amazement a 3-ring minnie ball then another and so on. After some success I moved up(imo) to a Deus. I have made some nice civil war relic finds since then. Now I have caught myself being unsatisfied when I "just" find a minnie or camp lead or whatever. I forget how many folks aren't near civil war land and would love to "just" find a minnie.

My New Years resolution is to have an attitude of gratitude just to be physically able to pursue a hobby!

Here's what I found after 4 hours and a lot of walking:

modern on the left, on the right a couple bullets, an unknown copper buckle maybe suspender?, some camp lead, a button back, a flat button with some material still in the shank, a rivet with some leather still in it(unknown if it is old or not), and a couple mystery items

i am also in Virginia. this is a great place for relic hunting. civil war, revolutionary war, colonial artifacts. really nice finds. keep at it!

Adopting an attitude of gratitude helps in a whole lot of things in life , detecting included. May you have many many more years of enjoying the hunt and some great finds to go with that.

Thanks for reminding me I also need an attitude adjustment. There are always those less fortunate than ourselves. Heck, think of the people who have never experienced the JOYS of treasure hunting and think of us as "weirdo's"?!? Man, they don't know what they're missing. Nice relics ya' got there. I am out to find me some now. :hello:
