Awesome find

Got out to detect a bit before work. Hit the field. Got a George coin then found this beautiful ax. Couldn't even catch my breath when I found it. 15-20 years of artifact hunting and finally got a beauty

Great find.
Is there a change in patina on the break?
If so you may likely find the other piece.

Awesome find!!! Would love to see some cleaned up pics. Thanks for sharing your great find. Also, love the insitu pics.
You can tell what it is, my heart would of stopped. Would have been scared to pull it from the mud. But it looks to be all there. Congrats! sixeight
