Back in the mountains

Went up to Green Mt. Reservoir on the Blue River today. Lots of ice fishermen out. Good place to look for fossils, but no luck today. Snow showers moving in.

Small pelecypod and cephalopod fossils, Fossis. Had to look that up, but they're fossilized shells. Farther north of there up by Kremmling you can find ones that have turned to Pyrite, but I'm still trying to find a perfect one.

OHHHH!! one of my favorite places ever!!! nice pix! I Caught some awsome browns there 'bout 10 yrs back. & the best fossil I ever found was by Kemerer(?) love that whole area. thanx for sharing the pix I can almost smell the sage!! I will be back there in my dreams tonight.
