Nice finds , that one bullet bottom left is modern shot gun slug . And if your finding artillery frags there might be a nice complete shell waiting for you there somewhere!

Very cool
I noted you stated " more pieces of the Hotchkiss Shell"
Do you think you can (piece) most of it back together ?
Those Sabot pieces must have [blown your ears off] . LOL
You are def, in a good spot.

& Thanks Ifoundit69 ; I was going to ask about that Round lead piece.

I lived in Knoxville off and on since the mid 1960's and I also detected some. i admire you for finding c.w. relics there. That is not easy to do there. I ran all over Knoxville hunting relics but never had much luck. You would think its solid relics from Lenoir City all the way into downtown but it aint so.

Thanks bud..I have only been detecting for about 2 years now and a lot of my finds have been around east and west knox and I feel that I have found quite a bit around here. Of coarse it is all about where you are hunting..I have found 2 complete confederate carbine sling buckles around here at 2 different locations. Not even really looking for CW relics..lol..Here is the 2nd one out of the 2..The first one was the bigger more square style..

Very cool. Go Vols! There was a guy that hunted some fields in sight of Neyland by the Tn river and they dug the relics. Knoxville like Chattanooga in that a lot of the occupation was in the city. Now covered.
Nice finds you are doing well.
