Another short hunt at a 1715 foundation in the woods, a short ATV trip from the house. About a hour in, I get the nice variable "button" signal. Out pops a biggun, very clean at about 3", OK cool, carry on, about a foot away, same signal, out comes its twin. At this point I hope I'm not over a VERY shallow grave, I'm not, nothing else in the immediate area. I decide to switch to the 6" DD 18Khz coil for a little better separation, and get a little closer to what was the back of the house. I get a chirpy 20/22 on the Xterra and start to dig, and dig,and dig. At 14" there sits the little guy, kinda cruddy, but mine to take home. This is the deepest I have had a "coin like" object, I guess it bled out over the years to produce a stronger signal???
The big ones are shiny, can they be silver? They are in great shape. Any ideas? The little one looks to have a cast line on the back, I'm assuming its older than the other two, but will listen to you button guys on that one. Thanks for reading my brief ramble.

Could they be silver? Anyone, anyone?

They're Tombacs--not silver.

Yes, they are Beautiful Tombacs--not too often we can recover one in that great shape--and the pewter one is in good shape too, believe it or not--they get really flaky and crusty underground. They're both very old. I'd say there are some other great relics and maybe even coins in your future there.
