:hello:

Decided to have a quick hunt at the field that's produced a lot of Copper coins and the Charles threepenny :) a lot of our fields are still not cut yet, so thought we would check this one out again, just in case it had been ploughed.
When we drove up the narrow lane we could see something had been done to the field :icon_scratch: closer inspection revealed that the sub-soiler had been on and he had rolled it flat :headbang:

I never though they would be any more Copper coins, but I was wrong :-\ The sub-soiler obviously dragged them up, not a lot to show I'm afraid :'( no Hammered :'( the only Silver I had was a 1942 shilling, still a nice chunk of Silver, few outher bits and pieces to show, and a unusual Button or Mount :dontknow: with the face of a Pharaoh :dontknow:..anyway have a look :icon_thumleft:

Woody a sub-soiler is a giant rake, with usually four or five prongs that go way down and brake up the field, prior to ploughing :icon_thumleft:
As for griding the field :-\ it's not worth the effort, and is over forty acres...just don't have the time. It has only produced were the footpaths go through the area :icon_thumleft:

OK, understand now what you meant, I have seen those several times but did not know their name.
Thanks SS :icon_thumleft:
