Back to the homestead...

Went back to the homestead I found on the 1873 map. The best part is the location is right across the street from my house. Made a couple interesting finds.

The first dig was this crusty 1812 or 1813 Trade and Navigation Half Penny token. This is how the coins usually look from this soil so I was more than happy to find the 1858 LC in the condition it is. Next out was the ornate buckle or something. I'm not really sure what it is...anyone? Last was the whatsit...no idea what this is...not as old as the other items...part of a lamp perhaps? Posted in What Is It forum as well.

the whatsit looks like a auto thermostat to me.,..

The ground sure does look to be hard on those coppers...
The second item looks to me like it may have been a drawer pull and the last item is definitely an old thermostat for a car, or some type of engine...
