Went on a shipwreck hunt today with Aquanut and Joska. The boat hook came loose at a stoplight and when I gave it the gas the boat was launched in the left lane of US 41. Lucky there was no traffic. I heaed of these things happening but you never expect it to happen to yourself. I know now the reason for that little safety catch on the hook. Mine was gone.

Oops... Bad day... Hope there wasn't any damage?

Clip on hook , and a separate safety chain on my boats.
Still managed to dump one on a launch ramp.
Good no people wrecked into your boat...
Ouch on the hull.

One hour and $100 bucks later I was on my way. No damage to the boat except for scraped gel coat. We launched and went out 4 miles off Bradenton Beach. Here we are deploying the pulse star coil.

Transom straps would have helped. I'd also suggest lying your bimini aft. One low branch will destroy it.

Good luck with the search.

You live and learn. I never had transom straps. I do now. I had the bimini aft but everybody told me to mount it forward.

I was just talking about leaving it hinged where it is, just laying it to the rear, and not to the forward where it is sticking up so high.

Oh my, I zoomed in and see it's hard point mounted like that.

Never mind.

The old slingshot launch on US 41.
Next time remember, wait for the water.

This is so good it will be a topic at next year's picnic

Salvor 6 at least you owned up to it, glad it wasn't to bad, in caves diving we say one is none so i always triple up

The hull is fine. Just some missing gel coat. We actually went off shore an hour later.

If the motor had been down, there would have been a lot of damage !

Those trailers with all the roller wheels are famous for dumping boats on the ground. You may want to make the trailer a float on.

Don't you have a safety chain and stern straps?

Glad you didn't hurt anything.

Need to name that boat "Road Kill"

Salvor6, I guess I'll be the one to ask. After your rough start of the day. Did you guys get any hits with the pulse star ll ?

No. I made a smaller sled after we lost the old one and the new one would not sink. Needs a longer tow cable. Joska said he will order one from Kellyco.

Experience, it's something you get right after you needed it.
