Ban Dredging for Drugs!

Yup and before that they were trying to get approval to claim the Klamath National Forest so they could build a casino. But they were not a recognized tribe and were turned down. A few of them got tired of growing dope on others mining claims and having it found by miners. So started the war against miners. They had to get dredging banned and the claims forfeited to be able to have a chance at getting the land they really wanted for the casino. Everyone in California was seeing how well that the Thunder Valley casino was paying their tribe and the Karuk wanted their share. So they got the big casino owners in Vegas to back them and here we are today.

To bad our gubermint is lead by their noses by wacoenviromental jerks! I guess the damocrats have to pay the piper to get the wacoenviromentalists support with lies!

Reed your behind the times bud-CASINO UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The bill was passed by a vote last week to prohibit casinos on non tribal lands but JERRY-yep ol'Moonbeam cut'm a sweetheart deal :censored: . We vote no and some judge or moonbeam just plow right on over our mandates with their sic sic sic agenda. John:skullflag:

We need to sue them to stop construction. A casino in such a sensitive enviorment would be detremental to the ENVIORMENT.

California was better off when the railroad barons handled the corruption side of things. Just what we need, another casino! Providing 350 unskilled low paying jobs, and milking every cent of State funded aid (welfare) money it can out of the local inhabitants and economy. Not only will they fleece the state and local economy for all they can get, they will send the proceeds and profit to Vegas. Vegas loves (and owns) the Ca. Casinos, handles their overflow and keeps the riff raff to a minium for the beautiful people in sin city.

I like it Oak! Use their own tactics against them. Let's see here... Between the salmon, the spotted owl, salamanders and frogs in the area surely one or more of them will be adversely impacted by the casino. Without a doubt an independent EIS should be done before construction starts. Wouldn't do to have some tribes bought scientists making a report that is not accurate.

If it does get built, then we should sue the grubberment to allow towns to build their own casinos. Why should the Indians be allowed to build them and rake in all that money when the rest of the country (Lost Wages and Atlantic City excluded) isn't allowed to do the same? After all, no single group should be allowed a monopoly! Isn't that why we have anti-trust laws in place?

No John, I was just telling the history of when the Karuk first came into the light to us miners back in 2004. Back when they wanted to get the Klamath National Forest claimed as their Tribal Indian land before they were a recognized tribe and they were just starting to push the miners around back then. It's been over 10 years that we have been fighting them now.

I don't believe the so called government is being led by the nazi enviromentalists. It is the other way around. The US Inc. uses front groups, enviromental, protection from gun vilence, etc., to further their own goals. If one were to dig deeper, you would probably find Agenda 21 also.

The casino is being built on lands they have no historical, ancestral, or aboriginal right to as written in the treaties of 1851 and tribal aboriginal territory maps drawn by the Krooks in 2004. Ask the Shasta Nation how they feel about it. What monies not shipped to Vegas will be funneled to the environmental extremists they act as poster child for. Reading those articles is like watching a 60 mins. show from 25 years ago where, at the end of the show the bad people go to jail and the world is again, right and just. Problem is this is happening now and nothing is being done about it.

Well we could all go tie ourselves to trees, lay in front off their dozers, our just not go to their casino.
How many people live in that area? Can they really sustain a casino?

No secret why everyone refers to them as the Krook Tribe.... they earned it.

Being right off of Interstate 5 is a good location. Here's a link Yreka Casino

They're definitely not going to compare to Thunder Valley for sure. Each of the Maidu tribe members whether official members or unofficial last I heard were receiving around $30,000.00 a month from that Casino's revenue and that was each person, not each family.

Yea for tourists... but there is another on I5 south of that I believe. That isn't doing so well.

Pardon the pun but any casino on I5 is a gold mine! Those places are never not crowded.

You guys are going about this all wrong.. Just legalize the weed and then they will have to get licenses :)
Oh, btw you can't get licenses if you have a record, that may be tough for them hehe. Yay!
