Bank says "no more bags" : (

For some reason my bank vault manager just informed me that a higher power says no more giving out bags of pennies to customers . The bags were giving out such a great haul , especially when there was a big school penny drive. Though, I can not complain because most of the boxes I get have been pretty good too. I have gotten about 5000 wheats in the past month I average about 40 + % on copper. I hope to find a new bank soon that will sell me bags , my last 4 bags before I got cut off I found an Indian 1908 & about $2 per bag worth of dimes and average 40 - 50 wheaties per bag. I have done better on some home rolled boxes that that bank saves for me, but the thrill of the bags are addicting ! Next week I am thinking about trying dimes. I am curious to know what the average % of silver on say ....$500 of dimes would be? If any?

I've been averaging about 2 silver dimes per $250 brinks box.

1.375 dimes per $250 Box...from my Credit Union by way of Wells Fargo. Doing 4 boxes tonight

Seems like alot of work ? I did get a 1949 silver dime out of a penny bag last week.
There are some downfalls to the bags though .....
A lot of pocket lint - grosses me out
Sometimes hairs that look like pubes ( I throw up when this happens )
A few small tiny shards of glass.
I had a few bags where almost half is covered with blue substance which ruins most of the coins.

lmao first off, thats some discusting stuff. second off, alot of work!? your doing a whole bag of pennies looking at every date! all you have to do with dimes is check the edges... i can go through a $250 box, collect my 1 or 2 dimes in 10 mins.

It takes me 1 day or less to go through $50 worth ... but I only look at key dates,wheats or obvious errors. It is just a hobby with hardly any investment since I only keep the wheaties. Vickilynn

I average just over 3 silver dimes per $500 bag. That doesn't include a half dozen double digit bags I have found. I have only been shut out twice in over 100 bags. And what is it with white cat hair in all my coin bags? I like kitties, but people keep them off the deck/table!!! Hope you find a new supplier of pennies.
