Detected for a couple hours today(2/13/09) and found a few goodies. The area I hunted I've pounded over the years, but it still produces. I did find a few clad coins, but the goodies are the 1900 Barber Dime, 1889 Indian and the 36 wheatie!! Nice to have this nice February weather that allows us to play in the dirt!!

If your finding wheaties and Indians, then silver coins are there yet, you just haven't put the coil over it yet!! Hope that first silver comes soon!!

Jack,
Hope those were from the Indiana side of your hunting grounds...lol Those are very nice coins.

We need to hunt together again!

LOL, That's a good one SKD. Maybe we could all get together sometime this spring for a hunt.

We are trying to find a site for a hunt. We need something that is real and not planted. Any ideas? Feel free to PM me.

It's good to know there are still some coins that need saved here in Indiana. Thanks for freezing your behind off and sharing...

Thanks, and I've been planning a short trip your way in a few months!! It will definitely NOT be cold when I head there!!

Nice Feb. finds, Jack. Those 1900 barbers seam to turn up on here quite a bit.
