I was not posting but it does not mean I was not MDing. Now is the time when many fields have been ploughed and I could visit old spots again. The weather was not very nice for last weeks, so some searchers tuned the process
and had absolutely dry and comfortable conditions
One of those fields gave up the following_ mostly dated WW2 stuff - all was just lying on the surface.
Another "relic" has date 1935 on the bottom.
Then I finally took metal detector with me and went to the field where I found the only roman coin in this area.
But nothing so old was found.
In detail:
1 heller Saalfeld 1733, coin from Thuringia, situated in 100 km to the north.
Tin bronse button dated 17-18 century
Here is older version - alloy of tin with lead_ 16-17 century.
Small silver bell, although could be rest of button, but small silver loop inside suggests rather bell.
One-side heller from Regensburg, Bavaria, 1791.
Another day near the "Roman" field. This time I was there when it was dark, so I identified finds only by fingers, and this piece looked like another roman coin. But in reality it was just a wheel from old oil lamp
Next day brought a mixture of finds from 18th-20th centuries.
This canon is in working state, probably I can use it against some insects.
Silver Kreuzer, 178?, minted by Brandenburg for local area.
To the end - training area of german army before WW1. Usual set of finds,
Key for watches
Thanks for viewing and HH
