I usually use the low trash on my quattro at beaches and parks. Seems to id a bit better. I have the 8inch coil from Minelab makes the machine lighter and easyer to swing. Hi trash setting is ok to but takes time to get used to. I prefer the low trash mode. :headbang:

I have used a Quattro for many years now and love my machine, my Dad has a new Safari, we hunt beaches all up and down the East Coast. I would suggest the LOW trans setting for the beach. I notice when the trash setting is set to high, I begin to get false signals even on hard soil. There are very few instances I would switch it to HIGH......Hope this helps..

Thank you.

Was a bit confused, the Q has a élow trash" preset, the S has a "high trash" preste.
