Hi, all and good hunting.. Question can any one tell me what year the Beach Hunter metal Detector came out ? and is $500. a good price for a used one . Thanks Coin Finder

not sure what year it came out but be sure that it has an orange gasket around the housing...the earlier black gaskets were leakers...also if it has the 12" coil it is probably only 2 years old....before that the 9.5" coil was standard....i would say for a unit older than 2 years $500 is a tad,but not much, overpriced

Call whites at this number..1-541-367-6121 in Sweet Home Or. give them the serial number and they can tell you what year that detector was made.

If you are going to use it out of the water you are fine even with the black O ring. If thinking of wading with it you'll need to fill a sock with sand because the coil will float. Even the new ones.
