beaches are sanded in really bad around here now - went fishing today

my son just got himself a new boston whaler dauntless, so we took here fishing today for the first time together......fishing gods were not smiling on us today.

we had fun and got lots of sun...........lost lots of gulps.......son lost one really nice flounder right at the boat.

Looks just like the intercoastal waterway I used to fish while stationed in North Carolina. Good fishing sometimes and crap fishing the others.

Too bad about the fishing but it's always great to get out. We catch skates pretty regular when we fish for halibut in Alaska. Problem is, up there they weigh 50 to 100 lbs on the average and wear you out bringing them in. They say you can cut a plug out of each "wing" and it tastes pretty good but we just release them. No sense killing a big fish to just get a couple small cuts of meat. Better luck next time.
