Those are awesome! I can't help on age or origin but it does appear to be brain tanned buckskin. steve

Found these in an attic of a very old house i know they are really old i suspect nineteenth century but i really want an expert opinion on what i have here

The top bag looks like brain tanned deer hide and the purple colored beads where an artistic marking of the Cheyenne people, The bottom is of Siuox (Brule) style and both appear to have been made around 1900-1920.
