This beautiful ladies 18K gold amethyst ring is one of yesterdays South Florida water hunting jewelry finds. This gold ring was the third signal I scooped after entering the water to metal detect and was an incredible sight in the bottom of my scoop basket. My wife loves the ring and wants to know why I do not spend more time metal detecting for jewelry.

Tell your wife she isn't alone in that thought. :laughing7: You obviously have access to prime areas for it. Neat ring! :icon_thumleft:

Congrads on another Beautiful ring...... Question..Do you every find any ugly rings?

That ring is something you would get made, its in great taste. Gary question , I have to find a ring very similar, I own a e-trac and have had no luck on the as of yet. I also own a Garrett 2500 , I was wondering which detector might be better suited ?

Personally, I would suggest the E-Trac. The gold jewelry we have found has been in wet and dry sand using the E-Trac. Sold our 2500 - horrible on the beach. Also very slow recovery between signal and digging. The E-Trac is the way to go.

Gary - you found my ring! :tongue3: Just kidding! I do want one just like that, though (have had husband looking for one like that for years)! It's a beauty! Congratulations on another stellar find.

For the beach and shallow water hunting I suggest an Minelab Excalibur or Minelab CTX3030, it just depends on your budget. I have also used an Etrac for beach hunting but I always worried about rain showers and rogue waves. I prefer waterproof metal detectors for beach and shallow water hunting.

Gorgeous ring! I'd love to see a compilation photo of all your recent finds. There's been some good ones.

Fantastic looking ring, congrats on your find. I am looking very forward to getting back in the water, just trying to heal my lower back. Your finds are making me want to get back in no matter how much pain I'm in. Congrats again.
