The weekend was very nice and up in the high 70's so I road out along the creek to enjoy the fall colors under our mile high sky. Then winter shows up for Sunday night and
it's a cold and sloppy Monday morning. My Virginal creeper makes for a great way to stay dry for some of the birds around here, plus it's like a diner full of berries to eat.

Beautiful foliage and blue sky. Can’t beat that weather as you took the nice pictures!

You guys got more than we did for a change. Quite a bit all the way up to the tunnel looks like but less than an inch for us farther west.

Tamrock ... I liked the pictures, not the snow. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Winter's all gone and melted away now. Back to clear blue skies and in the upper 50s

Your winter made the news in ohio.

Great pics, Grant! Ain't it wonderful, living at high elevation? Summer to winter in one day.
Jim

Pretty funny. Front Range is always Colorado to the rest of the nation. We got twice that much the week before and not much mentioned, but what makes it newsworthy is if Denver gets 8 inches of snow it devastates everything. Traffic, air travel, and lots more power outages than we have. We get two feet and just another day at work, haha! Loveland Ski area will open this Friday, which is pretty early.

These days the local weather stations builds up so much drama on coming storms anymore you'd swear the end of the world is coming.

Ain't that the truth!!! So tired of it ... and then when something dangerous does come along, we wonder if it's just more hype.

Wonder how many lives they've cost with their foolishness?

Yeah, the snow in Denver made the news in Oregon also. I remember when I wintered one year at Lake Tahoe. Chicago or New York would get 8 inches of snow and everything was a mess, and at Tahoe we'd get 4 feet over night, the kids went to school and everybody got to work on time. Had to keep the roads open for the San Francisco gamblers to be able to get to the Casino's, so when the first flake fell there were plows and sand trucks on the road. That spring, on the fourth of July I still couldn't see out the front room window, out back was the south side, and the snow was still 3 feet deep. That was my baptism to living in snow country. I left and have never been back.

Quite the contrast Grant!

I'm anxious for the snow to arrive, if for no other reason than to get rid of the danged bugs. Skeeters been gone for a while now, but the Asian Ladybeetles are driving us insane!!
