Had to burn a day on this old site before it gets closed for good. Maps say it had some old homes and stuff on it, but the initial check at the begining of construction showed little promise. Now it's fully graded down and the landscaping goes in Monday...there is no tomorrow for this place.

The hard pack clay was more like digging concrete...to much work to dig any craters, impossible in some cases. But I wanted to spend a good amount of time here to make sure I didn't miss anything interesting, turns out I had little to worry about.

Did get 2 newer marbles, 14 wheats, one small tootsie toy car and a pair of mercs...normally I wouldn't bother scanning common date mercs but I thought these were cool...first one to pop was the 1939 BEAST...scan makes it look better than it really is. It ain't even flat...road kill silver hit multiple times by the bulldozer. The second one actually came from a deep bulldozer track, just a common '41, but so pretty in comparison...they make a good pair I think...opposites do attract I guess.

Yeah, soon as I dug the road kill silver, I thought this must be what it's like to wake up next to EDD in the morning. ;D
