That's quite something! What is it?
PS- I love the quote at the bottom of your post. Where is it from?
The quote came from a book called Lolly Willowes written by Sylvia Warner.

I'm agreeing with Mudhut and Villagenut...This find is "Banner" worthy. Fantastic bit of history. Congrats!
We probably won't see anymore of these posted for another nine years. It appears to be rarer than the GW buttons previously posted.

Congrat's on both the Save of the button, and the Tesoro Sidewinder. Win Win.

I voted banner, amazing find

Hey Crus .. Thanks for the "Stein Clink"... I got to thinking about that, and realized that in Roman times, "clinking" was a symbol of offering and honoring the gods. I would like to think that, when it comes to my finding this treasure, that is very appropriate. Thanks for that!

I bought my Sidewinder 27 years ago and it has treated me VERY WELL over the years. It is still going strong, and ranks as my favorite detector in my arsenal. I hope it outlives me.

I hope your wish comes true but not for a lot more years :)

You keep feeding it charged batteries and regular walks....and it will live to be a happy old sidewinder.

Thank you all for your nice comments, likes and banner kudos. While this rare find may not be banner worthy here, it is the one that will now hold center spot in my collection. Not a bad looking button for being 221 years old. Thanks again everybody!
